My New Kitty!
My wife Lisa is a cat lover. I like them too, but I'm totally allergic. Had my wife known I was allergic before she fell in love with me, She's informed me that I would have never gotten a first date. So when I found a company, Allerca, that was working to create an allergy free cat back in 2004, I took a chance and sent them a deposit. At $3,500 each, this is one expensive cat! But after 23 years of marriage, given the choice between jewelry or a cat, I chose the cat. For a while things looked pretty sketchy. Putting money on Allerca's ability to genetically eliminate allergens without creating a "frankenkitty" in the process was a risky bet. But I got an email today and it looks like they were successful in creating the worlds first allergy free cats. I'm number 258 on the list so I'm hoping to have the new kitty shortly after March of 2007.

Just out of curiosity, did you or your wife ask about what happens to all those cute little kittens that are being selectively bred to bring you your new designer cat?
